Here is the picture of the Lego WeDo 2.0 Kit. Since many kids are already familiar with Legos, these kits are a great way to get them started in STEM. The curriculum facilitates and supports a clear, easy-to-follow journey through subjects, including: life-, physical-, earth- and space sciences, and engineering. The kit contains everything you need to ignite a child’s desire to learn while enhancing their skills in engineering, science, coding and technology. This post will be the first in a series of posts where I will discuss the WeDo 2.0 projects and how to build them in detail. I will walk you through what it includes and how to sort it out. Recently, I purchased the Lego Education WeDo 2.0 Core set for our school. Lego Education recommends this kit for age 7 years or older (I’m sure you can use this for younger children who love building with legos). If your school does not have a similar STEM program, you can still get started with your child at home using the newest WeDo 2.0 kit. My son’s school only had one volunteer teacher, so I have become the second parent volunteer where I teach Lego WeDo Robotics to second and third grade students.
